Introduction
Healthverse Technologies CO., LIMITED ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how Chatable AI ("the App") handles information when you use our face-to-face real-time translation application.
By using Chatable AI, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
Information We Do NOT Collect
Chatable AI is designed with privacy at its core. We want to be completely transparent about what we do NOT collect:
- Voice Recordings: Your voice input is processed entirely on your device using Apple's on-device Speech Recognition framework. Audio data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Conversation Content: The text of your conversations, both original and translated, is not collected, stored, or transmitted to any external servers.
- Location Data: We do not collect or access your location information.
- Personal Identifiers: We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifiers through the App's translation features.
- Usage Patterns: We do not track which languages you use, how often you use the app, or the content of your translations.
Information Processing
All core functionality of Chatable AI operates entirely on your device:
- Speech Recognition: Powered by Apple's Speech Framework with on-device processing (requiresOnDeviceRecognition). Your voice is converted to text locally.
- Translation: Performed using Apple's Translation Framework (iOS 18+) with on-device models. No translation data is sent to external servers.
- Text-to-Speech: Generated locally using Apple's AVSpeechSynthesizer. Audio output is produced on your device.
This on-device architecture means your conversations remain private and secure, with no data transmitted over the internet for core translation features.
Pro Subscription Features
If you subscribe to Chatable AI Pro, additional features may involve limited data processing:
- Cloud LLM Translation: Pro users have the option to use cloud-based large language model translation for enhanced quality. When this feature is enabled, translation text (not audio) is sent to secure third-party AI services for processing. This data is not stored permanently and is used solely for providing the translation service.
- Subscription Management: Subscription purchases and management are handled entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.
You can disable cloud translation at any time and use only on-device translation, even with a Pro subscription.
Device Permissions
Chatable AI requires the following permissions to function:
- Microphone Access: Required to capture your voice for speech recognition. Audio is processed on-device and never stored or transmitted.
- Speech Recognition: Required to convert your speech to text using Apple's on-device speech recognition. Processing occurs locally on your device.
You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings. Without these permissions, the App's core translation features will not function.
Apple Services
Chatable AI uses Apple's frameworks and services, which are subject to Apple's own privacy policies:
- Apple Speech Framework (on-device speech recognition)
- Apple Translation Framework (on-device translation)
- Apple AVFoundation (audio playback)
- App Store (subscription management)
We recommend reviewing Apple's Privacy Policy for information about how Apple handles data.
Children's Privacy
Chatable AI is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Since we do not collect personal data from any users, this applies equally to users of all ages.
International Users
Chatable AI is designed for users worldwide. Since all core processing happens on your device, your data remains within your control regardless of your location. For Pro features that use cloud services, data processing complies with applicable international data protection regulations.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Your Rights
Since Chatable AI does not collect personal data for its core features, traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion) are not applicable. For Pro subscription data:
- You can manage your subscription through Apple's App Store
- You can disable cloud features to use only on-device processing
- You can delete the app at any time, which removes all local data
